• Weekly vent thread: tiny ruin vs tiny win

  It is only Wednesday and my twins managed to spill an entire gallon of milk behind the fridge which was completely disgusting until I pulled the fridge out and cleaned it, but tiny win is the HEB on Riley Fuzzel had the big bags of the sweet popcorn on sale and nobody yelled in the car on the way home. What ruined and saved your week so far?

  Sarah yes the trucks on Rayford are totally fine my boys eat their weight in potato egg and cheese from the blue truck near Grand Parkway literally every Saturday after soccer practice line moves fast and salsa roja will burn your tongue off so stick to green or ask for mild!

  i9 sports is awesome for this my twins did flag football with them last year and it was literally one day a week practice right before the game on Saturday so you do not even have to drive anywhere on weeknights after work which was a total lifesaver for us down Louetta traffic!

  ppu is life honestly i am way too lazy to drive around meeting people for ten bucks worth of target shorts so i put a plastic storage tub on my front porch and tell them cash in the doormat or venmo when you grab it only had one person take off without paying in three years and it was for a five dollar puzzle so whatever

• Taking kids to old town spring - what is actually worth doing?

  Do not take seven year old twin boys into the glass ornament shop unless you want an instant panic attack ask me how I know haha! But seriously we paid five bucks for a lot near the tracks last spring and my boys literally just wanted to sit on the bench and watch a massive train rumble past for forty minutes. Best five dollars I spent that week.

  Willie’s on 2920! Sandbox out back, margaritas inside, kids eat their sliders in the dirt and I get to sit there and pretend my house isn’t a mess for 45 minutes straight.

  Lifeguarding for sure. Texas Swim Academy and local HOA pools hire 15 and 16 year olds like crazy as soon as March rolls around. They even pay for part of the cert if you commit to the summer season.

  Glow sticks from the dollar store for the kids bath time when lights are out! My twins think it is an underwater rave instead of a terrifying blackout. Keeps them calm and I can actually see where they are in the house when the hall is pitch black.

  seconding the woodlands mall play area just be ready to run after him because it gets wild in there when big kids are around. honestly when mine were that age I would just take them to bass pro shops off I-45 and let them stare at the giant fish tank for an hour straight completely free and kept them entertained forever haha

  Oh girl we had water pouring through the pantry ceiling two months ago during the boys bedtime chaos and I almost packed up and moved to a hotel. We called Bradbury Plumbing off Spring Cypress and he was at our house in under an hour. Did not even judge the state of my kitchen.

  sick child walk in hours!! that was the deciding factor for my twins because if i have to book an appointment three days out for an ear infection im going to lose my mind. look for a place with early morning walk-in times so you can pop in right when they open!
