Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner?

Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner Road? I saw an article saying it is part of their Texas expansion that was announced back in May. Supposedly it is a food venue with menus from different celebrity chefs for pickup, delivery, and dine in. We had something kind of similar when we lived in Ohio, but this sounds much larger. Does anyone know where along the commercial corridor it is actually going? Sorry if this has already been discussed!

Do you have a source for this? I drive down Spring Stuebner almost every day and haven't seen any sign updates or city permit notices posted yet.

I looked up the project details after seeing the news report! It lists a one million dollar renovation project on the Spring Stuebner Road commercial corridor. Construction is scheduled from September 7 through November 2, 2026. They did not list an official opening date though.

If they are preparing food from multiple different restaurant concepts in a single kitchen space, cross contamination is going to be a huge concern. Anyone with severe milk or peanut allergies will need to call ahead and ask specific questions about shared fryers and prep lines before ordering. Shared kitchen formats can be very tricky for food allergies.

Are they planning on having actual dine in seating, or is it primarily delivery and pickup? I am curious how many parking spots they are allocating. That commercial corridor on Spring Stuebner is already quite congested during peak hours, especially near the Grand Parkway access points.

Because what that stretch of Spring Stuebner really needs is fifty delivery drivers trying to cut across traffic near the shopping centers. Good luck to anyone attempting to make a left turn out of there around 5 PM.

Honestly if I can get a decent meal for my son without arguing about what he wants versus what I want, I am all for it. A place with multiple chef menus under one roof sounds like a lifesaver after a long day at work. I just hope the prices are practical for weeknight takeout.

When we moved to Timber Lane back in 1988, Spring Stuebner was mostly just open trees and quiet stretches. If you wanted something to eat, you had to head over to I-45 or down into Old Town Spring. Now we have a one million dollar kitchen facility going in. It certainly sounds convenient for young families, though I do hope the county looks at the turning lanes there.

Thanks for providing those construction dates Sarah. November 2 seems like a very tight turnaround for a one million dollar overhaul. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual opening date gets pushed back.

That is a really good point Rae! Back home our town had a restaurant renovation that got delayed for months because of equipment shipments. I will keep an eye on the building when I drive by next week!
