Cypress Creek Park family trail run/walk on Nov 7?

Hi everyone. I saw a flyer for a family trail run and walk at Cypress Creek Park at Timberlane on Saturday Nov 7 at 9 AM. It is a timed 5K on paved and wooded trails. Entry is free but you have to register a timing profile with the Timberlane parkrun group first. Is anyone else planning on going? I am trying to see if it is worth loading up the double stroller for the unpaved parts.

Oh my gosh I am so glad you posted this! I was just telling my neighbor at the gym that we need to get out more before the holiday craziness starts. My week has been absolute chaos because the dishwasher leaked and then the dog had to go to the vet but we are finally back on track! I think we will try to make it since it is free!

Honestly if there are unpaved parts my kids will just end up covered in mud and I will be the one carrying the stroller while they chase a squirrel

The trails at 1902 Naplechase Crest Dr are actually quite nice. The wooded sections can get a little bumpy with tree roots so a jogging stroller with the bigger wheels is much better than an umbrella stroller. We usually do our carpool for soccer right after events like this. It is a good way to tire them out before a long drive.

We have a tournament that weekend so we are out. Between the registration fees and the gas to get to the fields every weekend I am basically broke anyway lol. Have fun everyone.

I love that park for the scenery. Just be careful because sometimes the wooded trail markers get confusing if you are not paying attention to the group. I think some of the shops near the area might have coffee specials that morning too but check their pages first.

If you are worried about the stroller tires on the unpaved stuff just get a can of Slime tire sealant from the Home Depot on 45. I used it on our bike tires last year and we havent had a flat since.

Thanks Danielle. I might look into that. Does anyone know if the 9 AM start gets crowded? I do not want my toddler getting trampled by the serious runners.

We went to a similar thing last spring and everyone was so sweet! I am going to try to get my husband to wake up early for once so we can all go as a family. I hope the weather stays cool like this!
