Anyone doing Ren Fest in November?

It is finally getting cooler so I was looking at the Texas Renaissance Festival themes for next month. Looks like Barbarian Invasion is Nov 14-15 then Highland Fling the next weekend and Celtic Christmas for the three day weekend Nov 27-29. Has anyone taken a double stroller lately? I want to see the jousting but I am worried about the crowds.

It is a massive 55 acre village so wear good shoes. There are over 400 shops which is fun for browsing. Just be careful because it gets very busy by the afternoon.

We always try to get there right at 9 AM when the gates open. It makes the carpool back to Spring much easier if we leave by 3 PM. The school calendar has that Monday off after the Celtic Christmas weekend so just keep that in mind for traffic.

Where are you seeing the 9 AM to 8 PM times? I want to make sure that is accurate before I tell my husband we are driving all the way to Todd Mission.

The official site lists the hours as 9 AM to 8 PM at 21778 FM 1774. If you are unsure you should call their number at 800-458-3435 to verify daily schedules.

The jousting happens every weekend regardless of the theme. The 400+ shops are also open every weekend. We prefer the Celtic Christmas weekend for the kids because of the decorations.
