Parent teacher conference next week and i already know my son is struggling
I got an email from my seven year old's teacher asking to make sure we keep our conference time next Tuesday. She was polite, but reading between the lines and looking at his folder this week, he is struggling with staying in his seat and finishing his work. His teacher at our elementary off Louetta is great, but I am already anxious. As a single mom working full time in accounting, I get defensive when I feel like I am failing him at home, even though I know logically the teacher just wants to help.
How do you go into these meetings when you know it is not going to be a glowing report? What questions should I actually ask so I do not just sit there feeling defensive?
Doing it all, badly, daily
