- Meadow Edge Lane building in 77388 finished?
Good to know it's light commercial. I was mostly hoping it wasn't something that would generate late night noise right near the houses. Now that summer move in is here I guess we will see who rents out the bays.

I noticed the construction fencing came down around that new little building at 1804 Meadow Edge Lane off the Louetta area in 77388. Does anyone know what is actually going in there? It looks ready for occupants now.

- Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner?
Honestly if I can get a decent meal for my son without arguing about what he wants versus what I want, I am all for it. A place with multiple chef menus under one roof sounds like a lifesaver after a long day at work. I just hope the prices are practical for weeknight takeout.

- Spring ISD ratings jumped from D to C
Saw a news story yesterday about Spring ISD getting its new state accountability scores and moving up to a C overall. I live off Louetta right on the edge of the district, so I try to keep an eye on things for my son. Did they actually turn things around or is this just how the state calculated things this year? I heard Booker Elementary made a big jump too.

- Spring ISD STAAR EOC results out today
Saw the news local report this morning about the Spring ISD STAAR End of Course scores. They reported a 37 point jump overall in students at Meets and Masters grade level, which seems like a big leap compared to past years. Biology went up 25 points and Algebra I was up 16 points in students passing. My son is only seven so we are not at EOC testing yet, but living right off Louetta I hear so much back and forth about Spring ISD. Is this actual progress in the classroom or just heavy test prep?

- Weekly vent thread: tiny ruin vs tiny win
Ruined: Realized at 9 PM on Sunday that my son needed three poster boards and glue sticks for a project due Monday morning. Saved: My neighbor had spare supplies in her garage and walked them over so I did not have to drag my tired self out late at night.

- Clearing out kids clothes and gear - what are your local BST golden rules?
Thank you all so much, this makes me feel a lot better. The cash box idea on the porch is brilliant Danielle. Beck, when you price winter coats or boots, do you bundle those in with the regular clothes bags or list them separately? I have two nice jackets from last winter that barely got worn before he outgrew them.

- Clearing out kids clothes and gear - what are your local BST golden rules?
My son blew through two shoe sizes and an entire wardrobe change this past month, so I spent my Sunday sorting through bins. I posted a small bundle of size 6/7 clothes and a Strider bike on Facebook Marketplace and within ten minutes I had three messages asking for my phone number to send a Zelle verification code. Obviously I blocked them, but it is so exhausting. For those of you who sell outgrown stuff regularly in the Spring or Klein area, what are your personal rules for keeping it safe and not wasting time? Do you do porch pick up or only meet up in public spots like the HEB on Louetta? How long do you hold items for people who say interested? I just want to clear out space in his closet without dealing with endless flakes and scammers.

- Parent teacher conference next week and i already know my son is struggling
I got an email from my seven year old's teacher asking to make sure we keep our conference time next Tuesday. She was polite, but reading between the lines and looking at his folder this week, he is struggling with staying in his seat and finishing his work. His teacher at our elementary off Louetta is great, but I am already anxious. As a single mom working full time in accounting, I get defensive when I feel like I am failing him at home, even though I know logically the teacher just wants to help. How do you go into these meetings when you know it is not going to be a glowing report? What questions should I actually ask so I do not just sit there feeling defensive?

- Reliable mechanic near louetta or spring cypress?
My check engine light came on in my Civic yesterday, and the auto parts store printout gave me a code for an oxygen sensor. I am a single mom on a tight budget and I really cannot afford to take it somewhere that is going to hand me a $1,500 list of recommended flushes and extras I do not need right now. Just need someone honest who will fix what is actually broken and get me back on the road. I live near Louetta and Kuykendahl, so anything along Louetta, Spring Cypress, or close to I-45 would be great. Thanks in advance!

- Best cut throughs to avoid kuykendahl and louetta around 7:30-8:15 am?
Good to know about the 8:10 am window on the feeder. I have a dentist appointment off 99 next week and was dreading the timing.

Seconding the warning about the church parking lot on TC Jester. I got pulled over there last year running five minutes late for work after elementary drop off. The officer was nice but my budget did not need that ticket. I started taking the back road behind HEB over to Ella when I need to hit I-45 instead of struggling with Louetta. It saves me at least ten minutes of sitting at red lights.
