- Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner?
That is a really good point Rae! Back home our town had a restaurant renovation that got delayed for months because of equipment shipments. I will keep an eye on the building when I drive by next week!

- Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner?
I looked up the project details after seeing the news report! It lists a one million dollar renovation project on the Spring Stuebner Road commercial corridor. Construction is scheduled from September 7 through November 2, 2026. They did not list an official opening date though.

- Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner?
Has anyone heard about Wonder opening on Spring Stuebner Road? I saw an article saying it is part of their Texas expansion that was announced back in May. Supposedly it is a food venue with menus from different celebrity chefs for pickup, delivery, and dine in. We had something kind of similar when we lived in Ohio, but this sounds much larger. Does anyone know where along the commercial corridor it is actually going? Sorry if this has already been discussed!

- Best breakfast tacos around spring / louetta / rayford?
Okay silly question maybe, but back in Ohio we did not have breakfast taco trucks on every corner, we just had Bob Evans breakfast burritos! Are the trucks on Rayford safe to eat at with kids? My neighbor mentioned one near Imperial Oaks but I was hesitant to pull up with my six year old. Also what salsa do you ask for if you do not like super spicy food? Sorry if that is a dumb question!

- Taking kids to old town spring - what is actually worth doing?
We have lived in Spring Trails for a couple years now and I still haven't really spent a proper Saturday in Old Town Spring. We drove down Spring Cypress past Main Street last month during a weekend market and it looked super busy. Is it actually fun for young kids or is it mostly just home decor and antique shops where I will be terrified my kids will break something? Also, sorry if this is a silly question, but where do people actually park without paying ten dollars or getting towed? Back home in Ohio our historic downtown had one big free public garage so I am still figuring out the lot situation here.

- Package thefts getting worse on our street - what are you guys actually doing?
Sorry to bring this up if it has been posted about recently! We had two packages taken right off our front porch in Spring Trails this week. One was just basic household stuff from Amazon and the other was a birthday gift from Target. Our Ring camera caught a blurry video of someone dropping off a flyer and then grabbing the boxes at 2 pm while I was picking up the kids. Back in Ohio our old neighborhood had those shared postal parcel lockers, so I am still trying to figure out the best setup here. Is anyone using the Amazon Hub lockers at the HEB on Rayford or Grand Parkway? Or do the porch drop boxes actually work, or do delivery drivers just ignore them? Thanks in advance for any tips!

- Where do you take out of town family when they visit for a weekend?
My in-laws are coming down from Ohio next month for four days and I am trying to figure out an itinerary that does not involve driving all the way into downtown Houston every single day. Back home we would just take visitors to the local orchard or the lake, but I am still figuring out what the best spots are around Spring and the Woodlands edge. What are your go-to places when family comes to town? I would love ideas for a nice morning walk, somewhere fun for lunch, and maybe a low key evening spot. Sorry if this gets asked all the time!

- Tuesday night dining out with kids where grown ups can actually enjoy the food?
Asking because back in Ohio we had this cozy little brewpub with a fenced play area, and I am still trying to figure out where people go around Spring on a weeknight when you just cannot cook. My kids are 4 and 6 and if there is nothing for them to do while waiting for food, someone is going to melt down under the table. But I also really do not want another round of bland chicken nuggets in a room that smells like plastic play pits! What are your actual go-to spots around Louetta, 2920, or up near Grand Parkway where the food is actually good for adults?

- Real storm prep tips for hurricane season (not just buying 50 cases of water)
This is our fourth summer here since moving from Ohio and I still get so anxious when everyone starts talking about storm season. In the Midwest we had blizzards, but at least the heat worked. Is a full house generator something everyone actually has, or do most people just use portable ones? We are in Spring Trails and our power cut for three days last year. My husband bought a couple of those heavy duty battery packs for our phones, but I never know if that is enough or if I am being naive.

- Found a dog near spring trails entrance plus need a local vet rec
Hi everyone, sorry to ask another newbie question! A super friendly black lab mix was running loose right off Rayford near the neighborhood entrance around 8:00 this morning. I managed to lure him into my garage with some chicken deli meat and he has a collar but no tags. Is there a vet in the area that will scan for a microchip for free without charging an office visit? Back in Ohio we could just walk into any clinic or shelter and they would scan right in the lobby. Also, we still need to establish with a regular vet for our own cat, so I would love recommendations for someone good around Spring Cypress or Louetta!

- Need a reliable plumber who actually shows up near Louetta area
Is $89 normal for a trip fee down here? Back home in Ohio our local guy never charged a service fee unless he stayed over an hour, so moving here was a total shock when our garbage disposal jammed. Sorry if that is a silly question, I am still getting used to how spread out everything is here.

- Renting vs buying in spring/klein right now? property tax question from a newbie!
Nat, we moved from Ohio in 2021 and the property tax shock was so real. Back home our property taxes were lower, but we had a state income tax. Here there is no state income tax, so the money just comes out of a different bucket, but seeing that monthly escrow payment hit for the first time made my stomach drop. We almost rented another year off Rayford, but our rent raised at the end of the lease anyway. Just make sure when you use online mortgage calculators you adjust the estimated property tax percentage for this specific area. The default 1.2% on Zillow is way off for Texas.

- What is the one thing you wish someone told you before moving to Spring?
We moved here to Spring Trails from Ohio almost three years ago now and I feel like I am still stumbling onto things no one prepared me for. Back in the Midwest people talked about the heat, but no one explained what actual humidity in August feels like when you are just trying to walk to the mailbox, or how fast an afternoon rainstorm can turn Spring Cypress into a pond. Or the fact that driving ten miles here can take anywhere from twelve minutes to forty-five minutes depending on the time of day. I was thinking about this today while sitting in line. For those of you who have been in the area longer or even other transplants, what is the one big thing you wish someone had laid out for you before you moved?

- How did you choose your pediatrician (and when did you know it was time to switch?)
We picked ours purely based on who was in network when we moved here from Ohio in 2021! Back home our office was five minutes away, so moving here and realizing drive times off Rayford and Grand Parkway can add 20 minutes was a real shock. My advice is to test drive the route during regular traffic hours. If it takes 30 minutes to get across town when you just need a weight check, it gets frustrating fast.
