Making Spirits Bright boutique stroll on Nov 7th?

Hey everyone. I just saw the Making Spirits Bright Holiday Boutique Stroll is coming up on Saturday Nov 7. It says it starts at TX Roots on Main St at 11 AM. You get a shopping passport for stamps at the local shops and it enters you into a raffle. Has anyone done this one before? Im trying to stay on a budget this year but festive sips and treats sound nice.

Parking in Old Town Spring on a Saturday is a nightmare. If you arent there by 10:45 you will be circling for twenty minutes. Traffic on 45 is already backing up by then.

I want to go but we have a tournament in The Woodlands until 1:00. If it ends at 4:00 that only gives me three hours. Is that enough time to hit all the boutiques and get the stamps for the raffle? Tournament fees are already killing my shopping fund.

It is a nice walk. Just watch where you step near the planters. People keep trying to plant lavender like we live in France but it just rots in this humidity. Stick to the shops and stay on the paths.

Crowds will be thick. Wear comfortable shoes. If you trip on the uneven pavement and your ankle swells like a balloon go to urgent care. Do not post a photo here asking if it is broken.

I remember when main street only had a few little houses and we knew everyone by name. It was so quiet back then. Now everything is so busy but the treats are still good. Make sure you rsvp on the event page so they have enough food for everyone. That is the polite thing to do.

Thanks Ruth. I forgot about the RSVP part. Is it okay for strollers? I have the double wide one for the twins and those shops look pretty small.

No. Do not bring the double stroller. The aisles at TX Roots and the other independent shops are way too narrow. You will get stuck and everyone will be annoyed.

Kate is right about the space. You should talk to Mary over at the tea room or maybe ask the ladies at the museum about the best path for kids. They usually know who has the widest doors. It is a great way to support local merchants though.
